Weak DRM is not what's causing piracy, but I think crippling DRM is
definitely encouraging it. Who here hasn't downloaded a no-cd crack
just so the game doesn't suck your laptop's battery dry, and you don't
have to fiddle with tons of CDs all the time?

Galactic Civilizations had no copy protection whatsoever, yet it did
*very* well. Much better than anyone expected. It's crippling DRM that's
hurting the PC game experience and driving sales down.

Science is not the be-all and end-all of human existence. It's a tool.
A very powerful tool, but not the only tool. And if only that which
could be verified scientifically was considered real, then nearly all
of human experience would be not-real. -- Zachriel
