The loud "crack" you hear would be the sonic boom of the bullet breaking the sound barrier. While is is not as loud as the weapon it is loud enough, I still need hearing protection to prevent damage if you are inspecting the targets, down range, if the range has a bunker set up. 5.56mm N 7.62mm N 7.62mm X 39 and 5.45mm WP all exceed the speed of sound @ 1080 FPS at sea level. Most pistol rounds do also, so the silencer would have a speed reducer, to slow the bullet down. This would in lower the effectiviness of the weapon. .45 is ideal for silenced weapons because it never exceeds the speed of sound. The game dose not however incorporate this. To silence a rifle you would need to slow the bullet down to almost ineffective speed. The game dose not have crossbows or bows, like it should either. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks." --Thomas Jefferson Have Gun Will Travel Wire Pali...@uswest.net
