It was custom built for the US Department of Energy and has 9200 Pentium Pro 200MHz processors. It has a performance of 1.34tflops (1340mflops, or 1.34 trillion floating point operations per second). For more info, take a look at http://www.intel.com/pressroom/archive/releases/CN0611B.HTM. However, if you're looking for an off-the-shelf (as much as these things go) supercomputer, then SGI-Cray may well produce the fastest. I don't really know, since I haven't really been shopping for one recently ;). --Travis Cobbs (tcobbs@doverpacific.nospam-com) (Remove the nospam- from my email address to reply via email.)
