Cray doesn't make computers at all, they were bought out and name changed, cray no longer exists. The worlds fastest computer, despite the logic of not using Alpha chips, is made of over 4000 200Mhz Pentium Pro's running in parallel and does do 1.4 terraflops. The purpose of the computer is to simulate nuclear explosions for the USA government.
