I am usually a die-hard RPGer. One of the few Strategy games that has held my interest is Dominions 3. It has enough strategy OPTIONS that it lasts for years. But there is so much varied backstory in it that I love talking the plays out filling in dialog that isnt in the game. I love PLAYING the pretenders of the different nations as unique characters. The game was created by a 2-man independent team of one programmer and one teacher of religio/mythos so it is fantasy but with a very historical feel. It has 73 unique nations in it. It supports bigger maps and more players than I have ever seen anyone actually play. It also supports player modding so it never gets old. ALSO they have recently released Conquest of Elysium 3 which is much the same as I have said above but it is smaller. Faster play, less micromanagment, and much more solo play than online like the other. Gandalf Parker
