If you or some kid you know likes strategy gaming but are grossed
out by Starcraft or similar, Supreme Commander 2 is the game.

They even left out the resurrection garbage that was in Forged
Alliance.

I do not shill for anybody or anything. I am simply very
interested in real-time strategy as it someday will be. Supreme
Commander 2 allows for planning ahead since you can place
buildings without paying ahead of time, and that is a significant
strategy element that is missing from all other RTS? Of course it
has speed control, you can slow it to a crawl or pause the game.
And you can save the game at any point (when playing against the
AI).

Real-time strategy is so complex, the only reason for playing fast
this to advantage in the quick clicker.

I had a love for chess way back when, and (however long it takes)
there is no doubt that RTS will be the next venue for such
enjoyable strategy gaming.

Good luck and have fun.
