The Tech Tree is too easily traversed, especially in the longer
scenarios. Starting in 1936 I had the US see Jan 1942 with divisions of
Mechanized Infantry, Advanced Tanks and Self Propelled Artillery (with
all the advanced fighting doctrines) loading onto transports guarded by
Escort Destroyers, Advanced Battleships and Super Carriers with Improved
Fighters waiting to land and clear airbases for my squadrons of Jet
Fighters and Strategic Bombers. Meanwhile, back on the home front, the
US was nearing breakthroughs in ICBMs and Nuclear Warheads (the only two
things in the Tech Tree that I didn't already have).

At that point I could have declared war against the entire planet and it
would have been a damn short war running around the map planting the US
flag on everything.

The sad thing is that this was my very first game; I'm sure with some
experience it would have only been sillier.
