This is usenet. You have no rights.

Who's this "we"? You're the only one wasting your time here.

Piracy is hardly a new problem. DOOM was probably one of the most pirated
games in PC gaming history and yet, iD went on to do DOOM2, Quake, Quake
2, Quake 3, DOOM 3... DOOM is still one of the most famous (or infamous)
games around. Piracy is a problem, but it's not the only problem facing
the PC game industry.

Yeah, OK, you keep saying this saying this saying this, but you don't
actually give any feasible solutions. Other companies are trying
different solutions to the copy protection problem, and you brand them
as the anti-christ or something.

If developers are saying they want to go multiplatform and release games
for consoles, or even drop the PC altogether, IT ISN'T BECAUSE OF PIRACY.

Piracy on the consoles is even MORE rampant. Then again, when even the
crappiest console game can easily sell hundreds of thousands of units at
$50 or more each, it's a hard market to ignore, no?

In other words, WAKE UP DUMMY! It's not piracy, that's making the
companies consider consoles! It's REVENUE! You know, MONEY.
