And thus spoke pc games... > Are you actually a PC Gamer? Yes. > Do you actually follow the PC Game market? Yes. > Haven't you witness for the last years a evident decline in everything > Quality, quantity, more use of aggressive copy-protection systems Yes, No, Yes. There are more and more games, but the quality declines, because people buy everything they see. So the industry isn't forced to produce quality. > We are in a PC Game group > Yes there is demand for video games but games for consoles, not for > the PC > My thing is the PC and PC Games, I don't care about consoles We are talking about PC Games here. There's a huge demand for PC Games... > PC Games are made by professionals > Those professionals work full time to create games > And for them to do it they need to get income from it > Would you yourself work for free? So why should games creators? Oh, I do work for free to allow other people to play. And yes, "normal" game creators don't work for free - they get money. So I don't see why I should further support them. If they don't get enough money, THEY are doing something wrong (like producing low-quality games), not me. > Paying for talented game creators to do games is something PC Gamers > should feel good about I pay for something I buy. End of story. I have NO duty to pay this game to the person who originally created the thing - I just have to pay it to someone who owns it. > I thought our society believed in rewarding good work and talent... > and I want that talent to be in PC Games and not consoles and that is > why I will financially reward those working for the PC By simply claiming that there is no demand for PC Games, you won't make it any more true. There's a huge demand for PC Games and if you make games good, enough people will buy them. Sorry, what you are trying to say is like "The car industry will stop producing cars, because there's a 2nd hand market." Nonsense. > At least be consisten ok So you don't recognize irony when it jumps right into your face... > If you want to promote consoles don't talk at the same time about > competition cause consoles are anti-competition, consoles are closed > proprietary monopolistic systems, its the PC that has competition, its > the PC that give consumer choices! Consoles follow the rules of the competition. Nobody is forced to buy a consoles and consoles are nothing you really need - so no, there's no monopoly. There are many, many games AND more than one type of console, so there IS a competition. Personally, the only console I ever got was a Gameboy when I was younger. Sorry, you are trying to say, that we have to maxizime the profit of the gaming industry to "invest" in future games. But that's, sorry, bullshit. Flo
