I'll go tell my : buddie that is now hooked on X-COM to get on the net. Ya, I bet when he gets : to see this thread that he'll vote too. Let's see, I told 3 about X-COM. And : each of them have told 2 to 3 about it, and......can you say geometric : progression? I knew you could. : I fairly certain that they haven't voted ether. ;-) : -- : Dennis E. Ya wanna know whyyyy? Because I couldn't care less what some _stupid_ (to me) list says is the best game!!!!! It means nothing to me! If I were to vote, I'd vote for Doom. But I'won't, because if I let other people's opinion of games sway me, I'd have never played Doom once! (whiney people who won't take responsibility for their children saying, "Doom is *too* violent!") I have X-com, and yeah, it's pretty fun. I like it! I have Doom, and IT'S GREAT! I LOVE IT! X-Com does not support the following things that: 1. Doom does 2. I have 3. I USE 14.4 modem, 3 station ipx network, Roland Sound Canvas 55 MK II, and most importantly: user created levels. X-Com _does_ support my Roland MT-32, but that isn't as good as my SC. Techno weenie? For $750.00, I WANT SC GENERAL MIDI SUPPORT! AFTER BUYING MY NETWORK STUFF, I want it to supoprt my NETWORK! After buying a 14.4 (soon to be 28.8) I want 14.4 modem support!! So, I say _NOT_ techno weenie, but consumer who wants his hardware supported! Vote for important things! We who like Doom _know_ how great it is. It's more important to let people know about the game than it is to vote for someone's list. jtdi...@ouray.denver.colorado.edu
