It's been awhile since I pulled a bow, but accuracy with a bow takes a lot of practice. A bow also is seriously difficult to shoot while running and I think it may be a tad difficult to shoot while lying prone. A crossbow on the other hand, is a different story. Crossbows in the game may have been viable in the game but I can already imagine that after knocking off a sentry his partner steps around the corner and he gets 5 free turns to use you for target practice before you get your crossbow winded up and ready to shoot again...8-). Given the number of slots that you have available, I don't know if I'd really like to carry around a weapon and ammo, that has a one-shot effectiveness instead of carrying other weapons and ammo that I can still use in an actual firefight. But, in the interests of making the game more flexible, crossbows and maybe bows may have been an interesting addition to the game.
