Let me quickly add that I've only recently gotten the game. I started out with simple, easy and average difficulty (enlarging the galaxy and number of opponents as I went) but then my latest game at Hard I got beaten, but by a vote! They voted for the silly ant-boys! Geez. Sure they were much stronger and advanced but I had just developed toxic plants and gained a large number of new colonies... ack. Not fair. I tried the defiance thing but it would have been a massacre so I quit the game. Hard level is really hard I must say... I tried again and already on turn 40 the Meklars meet me just 6 parsecs from Sol with twice as many planets! Gave up on that too. Oh yeah, what's everyone's favourite race to play? I haven't experimented with other than Humans yet. I wonder are the others better or is trading and diplomacy a good trait? Are Humans powerful as opponents? Is there a FAQ? Oh and why is that it runs with only 800 K of EMS when they say it needs 1024K? It does get slow with a huge galaxy though... but it only crashes sometimes when I have an audience with the aliens. Always do F10 before that now. :) -- Max Behara | Save the animals! Cats rule!
