seu...@nordruth.rchland.ibm.com (Bill Seurer) writes: >And YOU are just as guilty for trying to persuade CGW to "provide >information" that they And that's the error that you keep making. I DON'T persuade CGW to provide this information. I don't care if they do or don't! They've decided that they want to provide it. Good! LET THEM BE! >1) previously did not "provide" >2) is objectionable to many readers Those readers' "moral" arguments are objectionable to other people like me. So, who's right and who's wrong. Doesn't matter! Just let someone make his own decisions about it! Even if that someone is a magazine. I am not telling YOU what's wrong and right. I am telling you to STOP telling CGW what's wrong and right. >3) has nothing to do with the magazine's stated subject >Why can YOU tell people what to do but god forbid someone else do the same? As I said, I don't tell them what to do. I couldn't care less if they had a close-up of someone's genitals in it. I'll just stop buying it whenever I think it is getting uninteresting. >There are many other sources of the same material that are just as readily >available to any readers of CGW that want to seek them out. Why does CGW >*have* to carry them? They DON'T have to. They DON'T have to. THEY DON'T HAVE TO!!! Is this getting through or DO I HAVE TO SHOUT EVEN HARDER! <sigh> >Frankly, I am finding ALL the non-computer ads that have been creaping in >annoying too. If I want to read ads about RPG materials I will go read >one of the RPG magazines I get. If I want to read ads about the latest >porn CDs I'll go read any one of the plethora of magazines devoted to >that. If I want to find out about cars I'll go read one of the auto >magazines. >I read COMPUTER GAMING WORLD to find out about COMPUTER GAMES. You haven't responded to my Oprah sketch. It probably was completely incomprehensible to you. Let me try to tell it in your language: - ads on tv don't have to be about the same subjects as the programs - ads on radio don't have to be about the same subjects as the music - ads in papers don't have to be about the same subjects as the news - ads in mags DON'T have to be about the same subjects as the articles Now, I'd love to see you try and find valid arguments against this message. I'll guess and say: you won't be able to. Because: This is LOGIC. Jurgen.
