Are parents supposed to keep their copy >of CGW under lock and key? I don't have kids but after reading some of >the postings by other people with kids, I can understand where they are >coming from about sex ads in computer gaming magazines. > Have you ever considered this: 1) By the time I was ten I already knew some things about sex, and I was always looking for Penthouse or Playboys, or any other such material? It seems some ads in computer magazines are pretty tame compared to that? 2) How about the 1-976 advertisements on the television which go a lot further than the ads in one magazine. 3) How about all the News papers in North America advertising singles-services, 1-976 #'s, massage parlours, escort services, and video's, magazines, AND compu-porn? 4) How about the fact that there was a recent study done (Either in Canada or USA (both would be beleivable)) that showed that between 45-50 % of kids entering grade 9 have had sex with at least one person? Sounds to me like a bunch of ads are nothing compared to this. 5) How about another study showing that in the US 85% of black babies being born, are to single, teen-age mothers? 6) How about the fact in local schools sex-ed is being taught as early as Grade 4? It sounds to me like people are trying to avoid the central issue by attacking the little ones surrounding it. These ads are like the symptoms (if you consider the above a disease, I think of it more as human nature). If you want to control the disease, get more control of your kids, and teach them, and talk to them and understand them, and treat them like human beings. Not a socially inept, retard bunch of midgets. Cause it will surprise you, how smart they are, and how ignorant they may be. Remember, ignorance can be fixed, stupidity cant. Zippy
