Prolly not.

What does it matter? What does it matter?! Hello?? Every heard of
progress? Innovation?? I should think it matter's a great deal. Do
people have to settle for mediocraty? Hell NO!! But, unfourtunately
most of the market seem to be sheep.

You hit a key point here. This whole thing from Win 4.0 to Chicago to
Win95 and the numerous pushed-back release dates has been a ploy to keep
people from going over to OS/2. Why should it take years longer for such
a big and powerful company to make what you admit is most likely an
inferior product? MS is great at market manipulation if not writing OS's.

Look at it from another point of view: since they are making profits in
other areas, they're able to enter markets that might not be profitable
in the short run. They'd have the finances needed to make a bigger
commitment then say a new company. And, after investing a large sum on
money, would they really be hasty about just dumping everything they worked
on? There's also their reputation on the line. Would anyone ever trust
IBM again if they dumped OS/2 now? A number of IBM employees, including
some top execs recently called companies developing OS/2 software and
reaffirmed their support of it. Does it really look like their leaving
any time soon? I bet OS/2 will be here longer than Win95.

AFAIK, a big OS/2 ad compaign is set to run sometime is August, before
the release of Win95.
