I own OS/2 Warp (bought it to run GalCiv). I'm running on a Gateway 486DX2-66V.
I had a relatively bad experience, in spite of the fact that I did considerable
planning before the upgrade, had a brand new hard disk to install OS/2 on, and
no odd hardware configured on my system.

I could write a really long note on this subject, but suffice it to say that
I'm less than impressed with OS/2. The install procedure was made quite
difficult due to the fact that OS/2 didn't recognize my sound card/CD-ROM
drive setup (Mediavision Premium 3D/Toshiba 3501 Quad). I couldn't use the
CD-ROM for installation and still can't in regular use. I also have an
ongoing problem with my mouse. It jumps around madly on the screen. I've
determined that the problem is not in the mouse driver or the video driver,
so it must be in OS/2 proper somewhere. GalCiv is just barely playable
due to this problem.

The bottom line is that Windows is the platform I've returned to for real
work and all other uses except GalCiv. OS/2 quite literally gives me a
headache if I use it too long. I will certainly buy Win95 when
it's released as it can't possibly be much less functional than OS/2 is
for me.
