I've got Frontier, but it won't work!

Hi kids,

I need help making Frontier run on my peecee, it worked fine on my Amiga, so
when I got a peecee, the first game I bought was Friontier on CDROM.

BUT, in six months, the closest to making it work I've got is three lines of
error codes.

I need a DOS mouse driver, and I don't know where to get one.

also, it seems I have to set up my memory differently, something I've never
needed to do.

"Unable to run Frontier - not enough free base memory available. Requires
580k free base memory to run."

blah blah blah...

But I've tried booting into an absolutely minimal configuration of DOS, but
it's still no joy, so I'm here to beg for you help.

I use a P133 with 32meg memory, running the usual win95 gear.
A matrox mystique and an AWE64.

Please giv me some pointers?

TIA

Well, thanks anyway, but I think it just wasn't meant to be.

I've tried everything, and for every problem I fix, three more pop up...

I remember getting this game to work on my friend's P90 a couple of years
ago, but, unfortuantley, we can't remember how we did it....

So, never mind, I think I'll have to pick up a cheap CD32 to play it on....

Thanks.

I used to play it on my ol'trusty Amiga and followed the exact same path
as you.

For a glorious two days it more or less worked fine and then screwed up
again with random crashes, hang-ups and display corruption.

And that was the last time I ever played it. I was seriously considering
buying up a cheap old A1200 just to play some of my old games. No DOS,
no soundcard fiddling, no conflicts, just simple graphics, top gameplay
and a trapdoor accelerator burning through my desk....

Got to recomment UAE/WinUAE here. It emulates an A500 *very* well.
Anyway.. this is very offtopic, so I'll shut up now before I start on
the Amiga vs. PC thing... ;)
