X-COM Interceptor demo crashes!

I have the v99. Every time I run it loads the "loading"
screen, and then returns to w95. When I try to run it again, it
crashes with a message like "Something possibly quite bad have
happened". I've reinstalled it with the same results... What could be
the problem? I have a Pentium 200MMX, DX5.0... I'm running Descent
Freespace fine.

It returns the same error whenever I try to run the 3D version, either
through my Rendition or Voodoo 2 cards. Try running in software
only...it runs fine.
