Anyone know when Freespace is supposed to hit the shelves? -- Sincerely, Mike Evans (Intrepid) mikea...@mindspring.com http://members.xoom.com/INTREPID http://members.xoom.com/INTREPID/gamespage.htm

It looks real cool. Have your guys keep up the good work! (I especially like the way the ship shakes on afterburner). Oh, but one thing I might add about the game. Telling from the demo, your ship is way too maneuverable. Are you planning to fix this? Also the explosions for large things (containers, freighters) are too quick. Have the ship slowly die like in WCP. (Well, in WCP they never exploded fully.) -- Sincerely, Mike Evans (Intrepid) mikea...@mindspring.com http://members.xoom.com/INTREPID http://members.xoom.com/INTREPID/gamespage.htm Mike Kulas wrote in message <354ed0bc....@news1.alterdial.uu.net>... >>Anyone know when Freespace is supposed to hit the shelves? > >If all goes well, right around the end of May. > >--- >Mike Kulas, Volition, Inc./Parallax Software

I had an enemy fighter explode right in front of me and I noticed bolts of electricity shooting out of the ship just before it exploded. Very cool. Can't wait to see the full game. -Krud

(Well, in WCP they never exploded fully.) Hmm -- generally the larger the ship, the longer the death sequence. Fighters and bombers can explode almost immediately. It depends on how much damage they took beyond that needed to kill them. --- Mike Kulas, Volition, Inc./Parallax Software

theres one thing i dont like...the end of the explosions hapen too suden...they just disapear..we should see it at least fade away, or shrink. Those are the best explosions i ever saw in a game in my life!I think they are particle explosions...are they? We're working on it. >Those are the best explosions i ever saw in a game in my life!I think they >are particle explosions...are they? Hmm, there are particles in there, but most of it is...ahh, not supposed to tell. :) --- Mike Kulas, Volition, Inc./Parallax Software

They're PEEEEEOPLE! (Those of you born after 1973 are welcome to ignore this post. ;-) -- Regards, Lee Johnson (lee_johnson at sympatico dot ca)

This is a bug. They fade out nicely on most machines, but for some reason they just pop off on others. We're looking into it, and will have it fixed for the full release. >Those are the best explosions i ever saw in a game in my life!I think they >are particle explosions...are they? The explosion system makes liberal use of particles, yes. -- Adam Pletcher Volition, Inc. ad...@volition-inc.com
