Go use the games for sale group. Yes, there is one. You eBay spammers
are almost as annoying as the porn spamers.

WooHoo I post in 8 days. Those for sale ones are really taxing the
system.

You are missing the point. His posts don't belong here.

*You* are missing the point. People who read this newsgroup are
highly likely to be interested in the type of game that Nats is
offering. A *single* message advertising an eBay auction for a game
of interest to the readers of this group does not constitute spam.
It might be different if he were constantly inundating this newsgroup
with off-topic ads, but he isn't. Those posting objections to Nats'
auction ads are wasting far more time and demanding far more attention
than he ever has.

And considering the actual amount of off-topic ads appearing daily in
the gaming newsgroups ("golds" anyone?), Nats' recent auction notices
are rather a breath of fresh air!

A newsgroup gets 1 post in 8 days and because it's a "FS" post
somebody feels compelled to post a complaint? I don't think I'm the
one missing the point.

Besides it's nice to know what copies of my old games are going for.

His eBay posts are all over the gaming groups and not just here. That is
spam. There is a games market group for just that purpose. I used to sell
and trade games there quite frequently. He has a much better chance of
selling there than here. Got any other questions?

"All over" as in one post per game in the groups germane to each
genre. In other words, it ain't exactly an uncontrolled flood!

Yeah. Why haven't you posted your moronic protests about the idiots
spamming these very same newsgroups selling "golds" for MMOGs?

Because they don't even read the threads they start and I expect NATS does.
OK, I have thought it over and I guess it is no prob but I still think he
would have better luck in the games marketplace group.

Well that's his business, not yours or mine. The protests over his
auction notices have already generated far more off-topic traffic than
the original posts. In other words, irony is in full flower on this
particular subject! ;-)

Agree, so I will shut the hell up now and let things be. Apology to NATS.
