Because there is next to no information about it I guess. Their offices in Cambridge are just across the road from me on the Science Park. I guess I could hang around and stare through their windows for you guys! :-))

Of course, we'll expect you to give us regular status reports on the project. Considering the history of Elite IV's development cycle, an update every 2 or 3 years should be adequate. Bret

I wasn't even aware it was them till about 3 years ago. We moved offices to the North end of the Science Park. I walk past their offices every day and the first time I looked at the Frontier sign I thought "That looks familar...." ;-)

DB's nostalgic for the days of total secrecy of the Elite development process where the first anyone knew of the game was the press launch. Read Backroom Boys by Francis Spufford for an entertaining account. -- Jades' First Encounters Site - http://www.jades.org/ffe.htm The best Frontier: First Encounters site on the Web. nospam@jades.org /is/ a real email address!

Not that it could be any slower. Where is DB these days, anyway? He used to post here, and in a.f.e. Has he retired? Lemming -- Curiosity *may* have killed Schrodinger's cat.
