Hello BARIS fans, I just wanted to let you know that thanks to the work of Pace Willisson over the last couple weeks there is a mostly working GNU/Linux port of Buzz Aldrin's Race into Space. It hasn't been fully tested (pre-alpha quality), but it's basically working and certainly couldn't hurt having more attention in playing and even working on it if you're up for that sort of thing. It's been almost two years since I released most of the sources to the original game. I've been happy to have the interest in revising the original DOS version by Eric Conrad and Leon Peyre and now by Pace in getting the sources working under Linux and gcc. The sourceforge project page is: http://sourceforge.net/projects/raceintospace I hope you enjoy the effort that Pace has put into this port of the original CD-ROM version of the game. There will probably be some issues but please post those in the sourceforge project forums or take a stab at them yourselves. Take care, Michael
