Bill, you forgive me here, but WTF. Anyone who owns this game ( Battlezone 2 ), need to check out this mod. http://www.starfleetplatoon.com/bz2/fe.php. It's not for the faint of heart, combat intensive, and you'll ned the BZ2 1.2 patch, it won't work with the 1.3 beta. Killer gaming experience,

But BZ2? Nah. Waste of cycles. Lemming -- Curiosity *may* have killed Schrodinger's cat.

Not the point of the thread....but WTF.

I reckon it would be safe to say that I was easily in the top 10 of online players in the first year and a half after BZ2 came out. Probably not a great feat considering the popularity of the game, but it goes to show how much I liked it.

There is still quite an active MP community. The 1.3 patch and FE mod changes and bug fixes have helped alot. There are some pretty killer maps now, and the AI is alot better then 1.2 They don't bounce off each other quite as much, and can actually hold their own. The new Hadian ships are pretty awesome. Also they made a new build strategy, but it's still pretty much BZ2. The singleplayer for FE is pretty freakin hard though. You'll die, ALOT. =P

Seriously though; there are two camps when it comes to BZ. The first (righteous) camp, believes that the original BZ, with it's gritty, in-the-trenches feel, is better than the plastic, buggy, slgihtly-better-graphics-but-no-gameplay-to-speak-of BZ2. The second, (moronic) camp believes that the plastic, buggy, slgihtly-better-graphics-but-no-gameplay-to-speak-of BZ2 is better than the gritty, in-the-trenches, you-are-on-the-frontline and you'd better not forget it BZ1. I guess we'll just have to agree to differ. Lemming -- Curiosity *may* have killed Schrodinger's cat.

I don't think BZ2 has left my HDD since I bought it. >I guess we'll just have to agree to differ. > to agree or disagree, is that the question? Fine. I disagree to agree that we are agreeing to disagree. Agreed? =P >Lemming
