Yeah, i've been trading those and SAL MK2D's back and forth for a
while, got stacks of money now. I decided to start the game properly
again , the hard way with no cheats and i'm enjoying it immensely.
Just got back from tractoring a fast moving disabled fighter to
Wraith, pretty hairy but I just about got away with it.

Yesterday, I started to get the restore lock-up bug again! Thought I
was going to have to start cursing it for suckering me in for the
umpteenth time (I can almost hear jimmy laughing from here), BUT, I
think i've sussed how to get around it. I save in a separate slot each
time until i'm down to one empty slot, then I remove all the saves
except for the most recent from the save directory, and I only use
resume to re-load the game. I had 5 lock-ups on the trot but then I
started doing this and it hasn't locked at all since, fingers crossed.
I will never get to the bottom of this one, I have run the game on
loads of different machines now with no common hardware to all of
them, with all different patches and many different settings, but if I
constantly use restore to load games these lock-ups always start
happening sooner or later (much later on one occasion).

Just preparing to take over Pixan, should be a laugh.
