Well, > there's still an open download slot reserved for me if I ever wish to try > Eve out. Really, I think you should. I absolutely hated E&B. With a passion. I played it for maybe an hour and uninstalled it with extreme prejudice. But I've been playing Eve nonstop for a couple of weeks now. I can't say anything substantive as to why I enjoy it so much without breaking the NDA, but if you get the time I think you ought to give it a try, particularly if you like to play cooperatively rather than solo (hint hint). Myself, I've always been a solo player before, but Eve has turned me around on that. Of course, I'm with a great bunch of guys, so that helps. Just as in any online game, you can find your share of l337 d00ds running around... Anyway, my .02.
