He's not biting Bill, you're wasting your time (of which, of course,
you have way to much on your hands).

I did receive an email back from Derek which was both measured and
civil. We weren't exactly slapping each other on the back for being
decent and honest with each other in the past, but at least it wasn't
a childish or insulting exchange. I was after getting my ban from the
forums lifted so I could post some questions there, and although I
made a point of letting him know what I thought of the atmosphere in
the place, I also said I only intended to ask a few game related
questions and had no agenda to stir up any trouble. He made some good
points in return, and agreed to let me post, which was frankly more
than I expected, or probably deserved, after some of the vitriol that
we've spat at each other on this group in the past.
It seems though, that the posters there have gone to different, fleet
related forums because the place is deathly quiet as you said.

But we have in our midst a certain Mr Shin gen, who seems to know
everything, so alls well that ends well. Now, where did I put that
large pile of 6' by 4' sheets on which I wrote down all my questions?
