In a general strike situation, it is probably best to attack enemies
in order of descending danger posed to you:

1. I would go after Devil Rays first of all, since these are aces and
moreover will always be going after you and you alone.

2. Stingray clusters and Mantas are probably the next most dangerous
enemies, as they possess plasma guns that can cause you severe damage,
especially the Stingray clusters' Heavy Plasma guns. Take out the
Stingrays from each cluster as well.

3. Next on your hit list should be Squids, whose Quantum Disruptor
guns are pretty nasty. While you're at it, breaking up Skate clusters
is a good idea, especially since they do not reform once you've broken
them up.

4. Finally, destroy the Morays, any remaining Skates, and Lampreys, in
that general order, but watch out for the Lampreys' Shield Killer
guns. As clean-up, take out the Rays, making sure you eliminate all
the Remoras from each one before proceeding to the next Ray.

In a general capital ship defence or escort situation, you might want
to proceed in this order:

1. Make Skate-T clusters and Red Mantas (they have a reddish hue that
distinguishes them from normal Mantas) your top priority, as these are
the only alien fighters that are capable of launching Poseidon
torpedoes against capital ships.

2. After that, go after Stingray clusters (and individual Stingrays)
and regular Mantas, as their plasma guns can penetrate capital ships'
phase shields as well. If there are any Devil Rays in the vicinity,
you should attack them as well; as far as WCP is concerned, we never
see Devil Rays in escort/defence missions, but this may change in
Secret Operations.

3. No other fighters can damage capital ships, so take care of the
rest in the order detailed above, ie. Squids, other Skate clusters,
Morays, individual Skates, Lampreys and Rays.

Of course, you may have to vary this depending on the mission
specifics and the ship you're flying, but this is a good general rule
to follow IMHO.
