X-Wing Alliance last of the real Star Wars space sims, so graphically
it's the nicest looking. Although it only works properly using software
rendering on my Windows 7 machine. There's also Windows versions of
the original X-Wing, and Tie Fighter games.

Privateer is an old MS-DOS game that was apparently the inspiration for
Freelancer. You might like it if you can get past the dated graphics.
There's also the whole Wing Commander series that's it's based on,
but again they're all MS-DOS games except last one which got ported
to Windows.

I've heard good things about Tachyon: The Fringe, but I haven't played it.
There's also DarkStar One that gets metioned from time to time here,
but not usually postively.
