Great story! I've also been playing around with GLFFE the last few
weeks. I think I lost my flight skills over the years cause I can't
seem to make that manual landing into the covered ports on planets/
moons without atmospheres. I keep getting caught on the freakin
overhead doors!

Comabt us still great fun though. Too bad the whole space-sim genre is
dead. I was really looking forward to Elite 4. It doesn't look like
it's ever gonna get made though.

There's is an Ansio version of GLFFE on the download site. I think
it's GLFFEA or some-such.

Executable with Aniso's mods:
glffea100.zip

The thruster keys were apart of JJFFE, and they are all still there in
GLFFE. You have to have ENGINE-OFF for them to work, and you have to
use the NUM-PAD keys to use them.

However, if you lose thrusters in combat, then you are SOL regardless.

Yeah.. sometimes the F keys are sort of unresponsive, but I haven't
really had any problems. The stardreamer keys (6-0) never have any
problems and those are the ones I use the most.

I doubt this thing is being bug-fixed, but you could try and ask
someone. =P
