I surely can recommend Tekagis Treasure:
http://tekagis.com

here just some of the fantastic features added:

over 125 Systems (special "Theme Systems" like Jedi System, BSG
systems etc)
Here's a map: http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/101/tek5405cn4.jpg
5 Safe systems (no player PvP able there)
special dueling system (reduced lag due to lack of objects)
hundreds of new ships (Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate, BSG, Babylon 5,
X3 and many more)
cloakable ships (aprox a dozen)
Capital ships (Destroyers, Gunboats etc)
New designed bases
lots of new fractions
harder NPCs
tricky labyrinths thru minefields
dozens of new ship enhancements and weapons
Increased speeds (600 cruise speed, up to 700 thruster speed, 3500
tradelane speed)
enhanced FLAC commands (/bank, /sendcash, /autobuy etc)
