I suggest you visit this site, as it's sort of the "one-stop" place for all things "Hardwar" these days: http://zedo.hardwar.org.uk/ Zedo's site is a huge repository of info on HW (including all patches, both official and the 6 or so betas which add all sorts of new features). I've had HW on my system at various times since I bought it as an Interplay bargain title back in 1998 and never cease to be amazed at the level of enthusiasm this largely-overlooked game has managed to generate and sustain over the years. The game was DOA when it was published; it just didn't click. However, a small group of....ahem....fanatics (including the developers, themselves) became devoted followers of HW. Software Refinery put out patches for the game for years after it flopped....when there was absolutely no economic incentive to do so. Finally, SF went out of business, but former employees and beta-testers continued to put out beta patches and the like (and I think some of them are still doing so to this day....10 years after the game was originally published in the UK). The game is very complex and the game universe of "Misplaced Optimism" on Titan......has a ton of "attitude" and is very rememiniscent of "Fallout." The introductory FMV sets the tone very well. Have fun playing it.
