If you think otherwise I congratulate you on your > unlimited wealth. Are you advocating the idea that we should use a substance known to cause more deaths than another slightly more expensive substance simply because the first one is cheaper? Which in the housing market would mean that the builder gets to make more profit? > >> Show me casualties in a country where the claim isn't associated with > > large > >> lawsuit rewards. > > > > Thus, show it in a country where no responsibiltiy is assigned to its use > > or > > misuse. Nice ploy, that. > > > Better than using claims in a country where there is an incentive to be less > than totally honest. But if the lawsuits pass, wouldn't both sides be able to present their own "less than totally honest" statements, and the judges determine that the weight of evidence is on the side against the companies? > >> You don't have a choice about what home you buy? > >> > >> Try dealing with reality now... > > > > If all houses are built with it, and if you can't get the land to build a > > house a reasonable distance from where you work, what choice DO you have? > > > It t's everywhere, and it's supposedly so dangerous, why isn't there a huge > pile of dead bodies? By the arguments presented here no one would ever die > of anything else. This has nothing to do with what was discussed above ... which was how much choice you had to live in an asbestos-free home. This is more limited than you asserted. Add in the fact that some people are more vulnerable to asbes tos exposure and you may be dooming some people to death if you use it.
