I can't get past the Rat (can't find any cheese),
Nor can I get gold for the ferry guy.
I am also wondering what do the bugs give you (other than the song that you 
need later on) I'm not sure if there is somthing else i do with them other than 
giving them blueberries

There was a hint on how to get past the rat when you were talking to it,
the rat mentioned that it didnt like snakes, so you need to make up a
snake potion.

You dont need any gold for the ferry (you will find this out later in the game).

It was a while ago that i completed the game, but i think the bug give you
the sequence of colours that you need to use later in the game.
