Yes they cut down on the quality compared to their 2013 demos. No one 
really knows why, but it could be because of the consoles or to gather 
to the mid range pc crowd.

Well, other companies produce multi-platform games too, so it is poor excuse IMHO.

There was some talk about the graphics in the forum and some folks were 
no too happy about the "downgrading". Some adventurous soul might mod it 
anyway.

But for me, I will play the game. I got it free with a graphics card 
with no DRM. FWIW, I hated Witcher 2, but loved the first in the series. 
If game play is what I'm hoping, then the rocks and water won't be deal 
breakers for me.
