Just finished Warlock: Master of the Arcane.  It's like Civ but without the depth or frustrations.

Or an intelligent AI.  I found the game to be too easy on the normal
difficulty level.

What version of Civ are you running?  The Civ5 ai is a complete moron.

Civilization III, IV and V all have better AI than Warlock - Master of
the Arcane.
