'Hackingtosh' is a slang name for a standard Hardware PC running a
version of OS X the Macintosh Operating system.

Is there any point for a long hardened PC Windows user ?
http://www.olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=3101

Having just tried (or tried to) ReactOS I have a dose of 'wanta tinker
pointlessly with O/S's'
& its not the right time of year for my 'Must Try Linux' phase.
Soooo a Macintosh would give opportunity to see what that
friend of mine swears is the 'Best thing'

I don't remember ever having used one so it should be interesting trying
something
I've heard so much of.
i wouldn't expect to put it to any meaningful use.

Its a counter-productive effort. At best, your only motive for doing
it could be a lookee-loo thing just to say mission accomplished.

The whole point to OS X and the only selling point is that the
hardware and software comes from the same vendor, thus there is less
testing to do for the software itself (saving Apple a lot of money,
savings that they do not pass onto the customer with their overpriced
glizty-glam hardware).

Funny that's what people called an Atari ST back when I owned one.

try it in VirtualBox. It is so retarded comparing to Windows.
Actually it is retarded even comparing to KDE.

Didn't know the Atari ST ran on the x86 architecture.

Aieee! Bite your tongue, heretic!

It ran on a Motorola 68k! 32-bits (admittedly with only 16bit external
bus) and an awe-inspiring 8MHz! Raw power at your fingertips and so
much more elegant than the crufty x86 chip design ;-)

Although I was stuck with the 8-bit, 1Mhz WDC 65C02 a competing brand
of computer-maker used at the time so it was all a moot point to me.
;-)

Ah, trolling. I have heard of this phenomenon but never understood its
appeal. What an interesting psychological study you would make; may we
dissect your brain? ;-)

Nothing wrong with my brain, I fear ! The Internet made me bitter.
