Need a hand w/BG2 SOA

Installed Baldur's Gate 2, SOA with Tutu. Runs fine in Win 64 bit.
However, I have a problem with the Quick Slots for spells. I right click
on the empty spot to put a spell there and bar with all the known spells
opens for about 2 seconds, not enough time for me to left click and put
into the highlighted click slot. It's not fatal but annoying

I solved one problem with the game freezing when I tried to equip a
katana with disabling 3D acceleration and dropping down the screen
resolution.

However, I couldn't find a solution for this issue. Anyone know?

Maybe installing TOB and starting over may help. I haven't gotten that
far into SOA yet. Thanks.

Tutu is for BG1 (?)

Could be an install glitch. I've seen a few strange things mentioned
like that on the GOG forums. (Things like the dialog window popping up
by itself). Are you playing on laptop? Could be their keyboard layouts
are the issue. Try reinstall from scratch. If you have TOB though, might
as well install that too, why not?

I was going well in BG2 and then stalled at the beginning of Chapter 7
and have not touched it again in months. :-\

(Started NWN1 instead...)

Yea as Matt said earlier Tutu enables you to play BG1 with the engine of
BG2, which is a bit of an improvement but carries over all limitations
of the Infinity engine. If you're having problems playing BG2 after
installing Tutu simply un-install BG1 and Tutu altogether because you
don't need either one and they could in fact be interfering with BG2 and
its expansions somehow.

However if you want to play BG1 you owe it to yourself to try the
Reloaded mod, which allows you to play BG1 (and expansions) using the 3D
engine of Neverwinter Nights 2. Now that's an amazing experience and
highly recommended. NWN2 had its share of problems as well (wonky camera
controls for one) but it improves in just about every other way over the
original while maintaining story, dialogues and characters intact.

Have fun.

Thanks to you both....

I'm already playing BG1 EE Reloaded and it is great fun. Nice to see
such a great rpg with new life breathed into it.

As for my issue with BG2, I uninstalled it and went to GOG because I
found a decent thread on what mods to use and in what order to install
them. I used a bg fixes mod, the BGT mod instead of tutu and widescreen
mod. I also installed TOB right after SOA and then modded. I really
don't know which one fixed it, but the Quick Slot for spells is now
functional. I have a Samsung 244T monitor and widescreened the game @
1280x800 which was a res recommended by someone in the forum over there.
It's beautiful to see.

I've had no glitches so far and I've not had to play in compatibility
mode so far. Glad I got BG2 out to install it. I had forgotten what came
in the box, but it was so nice to have such a great manual in hand to
read away from the PC. I hope they "Reload" BG2 as well......
