You got the badly made port ;-) On a vaguely related note, I can still sing the song from the original Bard's Tale. I still know the words and tune. How weird is that? "The song I sing, will tell the tale, of a cold and wintery day..." Ah, memories...

Oddly, watching gameplay vids of this appeals to me in a retro/Legend of Grimrock sort of way, but I don't think I want to pay $30 for it. Will wait for sale.

Didn't really notice that specifically, the graphics in general look retro (in a good way I think, if that's what they were going for). But then again this would be probably a $5 purchase for me, not what they are asking.

Somewhere in between would be the C64 port with 8 colours but it had better sound. Mind you I don't think the graphics were improved much in the PC or C64 ports. Might and Magic II looks noticibly much nicer in the PC port. I think a better comparison for Might and Magic X would be Might and Magic III, IV and V. SoundBlaster support and 256-colour graphics, what more could you want? >On a vaguely related note, I can still sing the song from the original >Bard's Tale. I still know the words and tune. I won't say I would never buy it, but I'll want a convincing demo, not a pre-order. - Gerry Quinn

That's some kind of magic to combine two versions. -- --o------------------------- -----o-------------------o-- --------o-------------o----- -----------o----------------
