I've got to the Isle of the dead using the serpent gate that was opened from the
last tooth for the serpent Jaw.  I found the cave and wondered around inside.  If
you take the upper branch of the cave you get teleported back to the start.  From
the lower branch I made it to a room with a bunch of coffins and a button on the 
wall.  I've pushed the button which opened a door to the north.  Through this door
there is a small room with no doors besides the one you came from.  I'm pretty
sure that I'm supposed to get teleported or find a secret passage in this room. 
The sign on the wall says something like 'STAND HERE TO CONTINUE' but nothing
happins.  Theres also a button in that room but it doesn't seem to do anything. 
Please help me get past this someone. It's driving me crazy.  I've had a lot of
fun playing this great game and don't feel like quiting now.  Thanks.
