Stuck in Menzo, pls help!

I have a friend who is stuck Menzo, this is what he tells me:

He is in the city of Menzo, and has the following:
	- Appearance of dark elves
	- gem lolth
	- insignias of house of do'urden
	- map of house of do'urden

He says he can not figure out how to get into the house of do'urden.
He says he can't see it on the map.  Apparently someone told him that
to get to the house he needs to go to the 'common area' and cast
a levitate spell, but he has no idea what the 'common area' is.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated by him, and by me since he keeps
calling me and bugging me to post it on the net.
