Well, I've gone through all the levels in the Dwarven Pit, but I haven't 
solved the whole thing.  There still about half a dozen things that I 
haven't figured out yet (including the thing after the fire plates).

I just want to make sure I'm not missing out on any really cool treasure.
Here's what I've found so far:

7 Girdles of strength
2 Kukris daggers
  Red-metal dagger
  Red ring of fire resistance
  Obsidian dagger (magical -- don't know what it does)
  Belt of necrophobia (-4Ne)
  Some recipes and potions (healing, St, Dx, Hilsomething Fire)
  Alchemy kit
  Red jewelery
  Red coins
  Stone amulet
  Various scrolls and parchements with clues
  Vast array of conventional weapons and misc gear

Is there anything important that I've missed?  (I mean, like, besides
the stone?)  If I've passed over something, please let me know ... I'd
appreciate hints rather than all-out spoilers.

Boy, those girdles of strength are a tremendous help!  Now I can actually
afford to carry winter coats and sleeping bags.

You didn't miss anything important yet, just a nice item.
Some sort of magical waterskin which safes you some space in your inventory.
