Howdy, Help! I'm so close to the end of Ultima 7, I can burst. My only question is, where is the "Throne of Virtue"?? I have two possible ideas where it might be... 1) Right before I reach the little underground fellowship church, there is this teleporting platform, that transfers me to a jail with a fully decked out Paladin guarding it. I've killed him, and robbed his corpse, :), but there's a locked door there. No key for it, okay went on wards.. 2) After sitting on the Throne of Many Changes, and getting the stuff needed, such as the mage's spellbook, and a dead dude indy jones-type's key, I preceded north, through a invisible wall, where I reach a door that is magically locked. I unlock it, and kill the lich that pops up. Okay, now there is a door here that I don't have the key for. I'm almost positive that this is the door that leads to the Throne of Virtue (The Guardian's Crapper.), but I don't have the key and can't find it. Can anyone give me a clue on this one. I think this is all I need, so I can finish this time-gulping game. PS Am I the only one that gets EXTREMELY guilty playing Ultima games? God, they're great and all, but damn there's a lot of busy work involved. Oh yeah, $45 for the Complete Ultima VII at Egghead.. What a deal.. (Would of been better if I got cloths maps.. For both games. :) ) Especially after spending $55 on piece-o-unfinished crap Ultima 8. (Where the Avatar can't walk over a pen, and sit on a chair. Come on, Ultima 6, Savage Empire, Journey to Mars, Ultima 7, and Ultima 7 1/2 all could sit on a chair as to rest the holy feet.) Well, enough of my bitching. Please help Rob

Remeber the room with the lake, etc. Then you go on to the room where you must click under the fellowship medallion? You must know if you have the throne of many changes. Anyway, I will start from that room and work onwards, its easier that way. Head north out of that room and pass through an invisible passage into a largish square room. There is an ivisible maze through a secret passage to your left that is suppossed to save you time although I found it an annoyance. instead head north until you find the teleporters. Take the teleporter on the right. After emerging, head shortly to the east and take the long passage north. Head into the teleporter you find. In the resulting room there should be several teleporters. Take the one to the northeast. After emerging follow the passage to as far north as possible then proceed through a hidden passage to the north. There should be a throne of changes there, DO NOT sit in it yet. Instead head north through another secret passage in the NE part of the passage. Walk north until you find several doors and then sit in the chair there. Nothing will appear to have happened. However, return to the chair of changes you found before and NOW sit in it. The chair that appeared to have no effect, changed where this throne of changes takes you. After sitting get up and head to the NW part of the passage until you find yet another hidden wall. Step through to the teleporter and prepare to meet the Guardian!!!! I know this is confusing and may not help you at all without a drawn map. Write back if you want points clarified. > >PS Am I the only one that gets EXTREMELY guilty playing Ultima games? Hi again Rob! Please forgive me, there are several errors in my last post which I will now correct. I am working from hastily scibbled notes that I can barely understand :(! Anyways, reload a previous game and return to the area where you first saw a throne of changes and had not sat in it yet. Sit in the chair. Get up and then sit down again. Now get up and walk to the NE part of the chamber and pass through the secret wall. Now head north and pass through the doors to the chair there. Sit in it. Now return to the chair of changes again in and sit in it. Please note that the chair to the north changes the place where the chair of changes will take you this time after you have sat in it. After teleporting with the chair of changes, get up and head to the NW part of the chamber and pass through a secret door. This teleporter leads to the Guardian. Again email me if you have problems. Please help > >Rob > There's a response in another leaf, but I personally found it waaaaaayyy confusing. So, here's mine... to protect the innocent... The first time you sit on the throne of many changes, it reveals a mage's room, as you have noticed. The second time, it reveals a corridor in the South. Find a secret passage in the SE to cross to it. In a dead adventurer's inventory there is a small blue key. This is the key you need to unlock the throne of virtue door. To reveal the corridor to that room though, you have to sit once more to the throne of many changes, as you know already. Good luck! -- Dr. George Angelidis tel.
