U7 Lockup problem

I've been playing U7 off of the EA Top Ten Pack, and twice now I've had
it lock up on me, both times when I go to sleep in the Fellowship Hall
on the first day to wait for the Fellowship Meeting. Is it just the
game telling me subtly that I've been murdered in my sleep? Can I not
sleep for only one hour? Or is it fruitless to try to play this game
because it is bug-ridden?

ted frank What's the definition of an optimist?
Someone who books a USAir flight through the new Denver
Airport to attend Clinton's 1997 inauguration.

I think the game crashes when the guardian comes to speak on your sleep.
Someone else had the same problem. Make sure you have installed the game
with the proper sound system settings. Can you hearthe guardian during
the introduction? The check your memory. Perhaps there's not enough for
the speech overlay... Good luck!

While I have played the game from diskette (not CD) I never had
any problems with bugs or lockups. Just make sure you are running
according to the info that should have been supplied with the game. No
EMM386, no TSR's, no CD-Drivers (I assume you are installing it to hard
disk), etc....Just a clean system with himem.sys, mouse, and dos.
