They are also different from regular CDs - they are using gold data surface instead of aluminum (that kind of explains a higher price, doesn't it ;^) Software publishers don't use the same recorders though - when you press thousands of CD-ROMs (of course using different techniques than those CD Recorders) the cost of one CD comes up to about $.25 (not counting a jewel case, manual, etc. of course). I think I saw some calculations on rec.music.cd newsgroup breaking the manufacting costs for audio CDs, and I'm pretty sure that was the actual cost of the CD itself. -M- > >TRH Sends
