Hello fellow flight-simers!

Did I say I like Strike? :) I liked the CD version better than the floppy
version, that's for sure. But as it stands, the game failed many of my
expectations. For example, the highly-tauted fly four different
aircrafts, including the infamous Harrier, was absent in the game; you
were only able to fly the F-16 and F-22. And how about the star in SC
thing? Not there either. But that's beside the point...

Don't they? They drag the industry along with their new annual tech
standards. As it is, we gamers have very little choice when every major
software publishing software company join the race.

The point is that Origin doesn't have to push the technological front
every year to keep her customers buying her games. She could have easily
mastered the programming in the U7 system first by adding more storyline,
deeper philosophical contents, bigger worlds, better combat design/AI,
more NPC interactions etc before moving to a newer platform design like
U8. But most of all, if she does decide to push technological edge, make
sure her result products live up to her advertised hype. It almost seem
as if '90's programmers are obsessed with designing bigger and
flashier programs without substance.

BTW James, why are you spending so much time on news?! Get to your mail
once in a while! :D
