I think a hobbit in The Shire is an acquired taste - you may love the many cutesy fedex quests there or hate them. Celondim for the Elves is the prettiest starter area imo with Thorin's Gate for the dwarves my 2nd most fave (I love snow ;). The Breeland area for Men is probably the most central/accessible spot for the game into the late teens & early 20s, so a favourite of many (plus it's the only race that can play a Captain). As far as class goes, depends if you're mainly a soloer or like to group, melee, ranged, CC, AOEs, pets...what do you like Leo? I've actually found a hobbit Burglar one of the most fun solo classes (as much as I find hobbits & The Shire a pain in the rectum), right up there with my absolute favourite pet classes (a Loremaster in LOTRO). Enjoy you lucky bastard - you're in for a treat unless WoW has ruined you for good storytelling & polite, mature, helpful, friendly people...even the strangers. ;) -- Nostromo
