Anyone playing Diablo 3? I went back to it. They'll be getting rid of the auction house in march, funnily enough that's one of my favorite things about D3, I just wish it was better - I wish you could dump all your shit on it, and it either sells or gives you sale to merchant price instead of searching through it trying to figure out what a good price to set was, or what was even worth trying to sell, and then being limited to 10 items. I originally quit when I got stuck on act II of inferno after being stuck on act I for a long time. It seems now there's some really good guides and info on what to get and getting the basic gear is reasonably affordable too. My barbarian has jumped from about 7k damage to 70k (111k buffed) in the last week as I've changed the powers I'm using and bought the right equipment on the cheap. The other reason I quit was that it was far more advantageous to solo, as there was no benefit to grouping unlike d2, and invariably grouping meant lowering efficiency (at least for one party, if not yourself, someone else was being dragged down by you). They've added group xp/gold/magic buffs now, 10% bonus to each for each additional party member, and that 10% is multiplicative, so if you had 300% magic find, and grouped with 3 other people it would bump that up to 390%. Even grouping at low level with one random person who was goofing off it's extremely noticeable in the quality of drops. They've also added 'monster power' so you can up the power of the monsters and resultant xp and treasure dropping, there's 10 levels of that, but I couldn't even handle the 1 level upgrade - of course that was before I got myself well upgraded. Apparently from the info I've read it will take about 170k dps to handle level 10 of that, so I've got a long way to go and getting that high looks like it will be extremely expensive, on the order of 100x what I've spent so far. Unfortunately I see one part of the game hasn't improved. Spamming the chat channels. I was even contacted by someone impersonating a GM and asked to go to some site in the .tlk domain threatening to shut off my account. I've reported and blocked people spamming etc. but the blocking doesn't seem to work, I see the same person spamming the chat channel the next day. - Justisaur
