I bought a Matrox Millenium II...basically a card that works well with a
Pnetium II...AGP support I believe. However, I am using on my IBM P133 and
thus far I have found pretty good performance and no compatibility problems.
I really have not benchmarked this card at all, all I know is that it
supposedly offers the best 2d support and since I don't play 3d games all
that much it has been a good purchase...one that I will carry over to a
Pentium II machine in the future. I suggest you analyze what games you
intend to play...if they are mostly rpgs I think this is a good card to
have. However...gameslike Ultima 9 and wiz 8 are suppose to only support a
3d card...a tough call you have to make. I have used this card under
windows 95, DOS, and NT 4.0...I have no complaints!
