If what you need is to change the sound files of NPC's I can give a hint, but not the whole thing because I have a similar problem. I'll state what I found out: I (tried, and) made a few changes on that, after a big new installation. I wanted to replay this excellent classic again and I tried a ton of mods to make my experience a bit newer. So, I installed easyTutu to play BG1 on BG2's skin (successfully I might add) and all went well with one exception: Kivan became mute. So what I found out about changing NPC's sounds is: you only have to add .wav files into the Override directory using this format -> X...XZZ.wav <- where X...X is the character name and ZZ is a number from 01 up to 22 (here I can't tell for sure the max). The character name you must found out exactly which is. I used ShadowKeeper to found the name of the character which, on my case, was simple enough: Kivan. But I saw while searching that some characters aren't that straightforward. My problem now is, and I think that it might be yours too, I don't know the meanings of those numbers 01-whatever, except that they represent each action of the character. If someone please know about that order of actions please tell.
