Old thread but just to mention some relevant news from Microsoft,
according to Anandtech
(http://www.anandtech.com/show/9358/microsoft-launches-updated-xbox-one-controller-and-pc-adapter)
they're coming out with a new Xbox One controller and a wireless PC
adapter for it too. Apparently the adapter is $25 and controller with
adapter is $80. Coming this fall.

Personally, my Razer Onza still works but it does have annoying drift in
the right analog stick. Both the games I've played with it recently
(Defiance and GTA IV) behave rather badly with this. The drift is no
issue while driving but when you get out of the vehicle, put the
controller down and start killing with mouse and keyboard, well, both
games see the stick drift and go "Aha! He wants to play with the
controller!" and disable mouse. Until the drift stops which usually
involves a quick spin of the analog stick.

I guess it's my own fault, the controller has fallen sticks first a
couple of times. Something to be said for wireless, at least you can't
snag the cable on something.
